Made my first shortfilm when I was 8, and I'm still making videos ever since.
Born in Coimbra in ’97, I started filming when I was eight with a PlayStation Portable camera. Three pixels, no dynamic range and just enough quality to convince my family they were movie stars. It wasn’t about the gear, it was about figuring out how to make something work.
That mindset shaped everything that followed. Visual arts in school, audiovisual at university, some freelancing and a stretch working as a filmmaker in the Alps. I grew there, technically and personally, but growth slows when comfort settles in, and I could feel it happening.
So I left.
Now back in Portugal, I’m dedicating myself entirely to cinematography. I approach every project with care, curiosity, and respect for the people behind it.
The gear is better now. The obsession is the same.
